We are gearing up for elections for the Board of Directors for the International Chapter of NASW.   The International Chapter is recruiting candidates to run for following Board of Director offices:

President (2 year term)
Vice President (2 year term)
Treasurer (2 year term)
At-Large Representative (2 year term)

Board Member Responsibilities:

• Newly elected Board members will assume their positions on 1 July 2010.  Board members are expected to complete a full two-year term.
• Board members must participate in all scheduled board meetings.  Meetings are conducted via teleconference at least quarterly with a minimum of one face to face meeting held annually, typically in Heidelberg, Germany.
• Board members should be prepared to participate on committees and provide ongoing input toward chapter activities.
• Board members should strive to provide programming that will meet the needs of ourChapter members. 
• Lodging, meal expenses and transportation costs are reimbursed to board members when attending face to face board meetings.  The cost of phone calls for teleconferences isreimbursed to Board members.
